Terms of use
Last updated 12 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Ekereke Precious, who runs Rivu (“we”). By signing in, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Rivu.
What Rivu is
Rivu helps you track your money: expenses, budgets, bills, savings and net worth. It shows the numbers you give it. It doesn't hold money, make payments or connect to your bank.
Not financial advice
Rivu's figures, targets and suggestions are for your own planning. They aren't financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and we aren't licensed to give it. For decisions that matter, talk to a qualified professional.
Your account
- You must be 18 or over.
- You sign in with Google. Keep that account, and any passcode you set, secure. You're responsible for what happens in your Rivu account.
- One person per account. Usernames must not impersonate anyone or be offensive.
Your data
What you log is yours. You let us store and process it only to run Rivu for you, as set out in the privacy policy. You can download it or delete your account at any time from Account.
Use it fairly
Don't:
- try to reach other people's data, or get around security, limits or the passcode;
- overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or automate it in ways a person couldn't;
- upload anything unlawful, or images that aren't receipts to the receipt reader;
- use Rivu to break the law.
Accuracy
Receipt reading is done by AI and can misread a line. Check every scan before you save it. Exchange rates come from a rates provider, are updated twice a day and are for guidance only. Rivu's totals are only as accurate as what goes into them.
Limits and changes to the service
Some features have limits, such as a number of free receipt scans each month, shown in the app. We may improve, change or stop features. If we ever shut Rivu down, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice to download your data.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why unless the law stops us.
Liability
We work to keep Rivu accurate, available and secure, but it's provided as it is, without guarantees that it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses arising from decisions made using Rivu, or for indirect losses. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that can't be limited.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, the date at the top changes. For changes that matter, we'll tell you in the app first. Using Rivu after a change means you accept it.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and its courts handle any dispute. If you live elsewhere, you keep the protections your local consumer law gives you.
